Strapless Wedding Gowns – Unusual And Unconventional

Strapless wedding gowns are off-the-shoulder wedding gowns. These gowns mark the return of the fashion of the 50's; that dress phase was too conservative to accept such a style, therefore the designers included a nice little bodice in the shape of a heart. These dresses had a combination of long skirts and sheath of light fabrics. A Lace jacket was a substitute for the sheath that was popular in church wedding.

The contemporary bride demands a modern dress and a strapless wedding gown. Strapless dresses are created with or without train, and can be as unique as having a bow-knot anywhere around the waist. A lower hem further contributes to the beauty of the dress. Strapless dresses can have two parts, an upper part known as bodice and a lower one is in the form of a skirt. A bodice is generally made of body hugging fabric like silk. The skirt has more layers, therefore it is made of voile. The off-the-shoulder gown is available in conventional colors like white and ivory, and is generally given a European size look.

A strapless gown, although unconventional in appearance, can easily be afforded by the bride. Brides who dare to bare by donning such gowns get them custom made at lower prices. Strapless gowns never go out of fashion and can be worn at any occasion. A bride who already glows because of the obvious reason on her wedding day looks even more scintillating and captivating in strapless gown.
